Ha Ji-won got a special gift from “On Air” actress Song Yoon-ah, and that gift was the gift of being casted in the winter season hit, “Secret Garden,” co-starring Hyun Bin.
Turns out it’s good to know a friend when you’re in show business. In this case, Ha Ji-won was introduced to “Secret Garden” and “On Air” writer Kim Eun-sook, way back in 2008, through her actress friend Song Yoon-ah. After making a good impression on the writer, Kim Eun-sook was sure to give her future “Laim” a love call. One of Ha Ji-won’s representatives stated, “Ha Ji-won’s close friend, Song Yoon-ah called her up. As expected, Screenwriter Kim Eun-sook wanted to see Ha Ji-won. It isn’t saying too much that ‘Secret Garden’ found the connection to its success on that day.”
Without even reading the synopsis, Ha Ji-won accepted the offer, explaining, “Mainly, if the scenario is good, you agree to filming, but sometimes, even without reading the script, and just looking at the title, you can tell it’s a shining product. ‘Secret Garden’ was just that.”
Turns out Ha Ji-won was more than right, as “Secret Garden” turned out being entertaining and captivating in one drama.
